Year 7 and 8 Netball Match Report Meridian v Quest

The year 7 and 8 netball teams had an excellent start to their season at Quest Academy. The girls have been training really hard, most of them even practising during break times and all of the hard work showed when put to the test during the games.

The Year 8 girls were up against strong opposition but an early goal put their confidence up in the first quarter. The game was particularly close and the girls fought to the end to maintain a very close goal difference. Even though Quest scored just 1 more goal it was a very close match and the girls have learnt a lot going forward to their next fixture against Oasis Coulsdon.

The Year 7 girls put in a similarly confident performance and worked together really well considering the short amount of time they have had to get their team together. Some fantastic teamwork and spirit kept them on top throughout the match and they won their game 4-2.

A special mention to Benita Nwaneto and Jamelia Reid who were voted as 'Ladies of the Match'.
