Parent Partnership Curriculum

Meridian Parent Partnership Curriculum: Empowering Families, Elevating Achievement

At Meridian, we firmly believe that a strong partnership between home and school is the cornerstone of student success. Research consistently demonstrates that parental involvement leads to higher academic achievement, increased motivation, and improved well-being for our students. Our Parent Partnership Curriculum is designed to foster this collaboration and equip parents with the knowledge and skills to actively support their child's learning journey.

Why Parent Partnership Matters:

  • Academic Impact: Studies show that engaged parents contribute to an average of 4 months' additional progress for their children.

  • Holistic Development: Parent involvement nurtures not only academic growth but also social-emotional skills, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
  • Community Strength: When schools and families work together, the entire community thrives.

The Meridian Parent Partnership Curriculum Offers:

This Academic year we begin our brand-new functional skills lessons for parents and carers, offered in both English and Maths. These lessons are free of charge and delivered by subject specialist qualified teachers, designed to equip our parents and carers with key skills in literacy and numeracy.

Our functional skills sessions will be delivered using a hybrid approach, with lessons being taught in our school, online via Microsoft Teams and independently through self-study modules. Our lessons will run for the duration of the academic year with the intention of learners sitting the qualification after either 2 or 3 terms of learning, depending on their exam readiness.

Our teachers will be available to support you at every step of your learning with the aim of gaining both Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in your area of choice by the end of the course. This is a brilliant opportunity for learners to gain this skill both for themselves and to help them in supporting their child with their learning.

We encourage all Meridian parents to actively participate in this completely FREE valuable program. Together, we can create a thriving learning environment where every child reaches their full potential.
