GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Covid-19

This page replaces our previous coronavirus page and provides current documentation to support the 2020-2021 lockdown.

This school year is like no other, and it requires Meridian High School students to embrace our core values of resilience and challenge more than ever so they fulfil their ambitions. We trust that this section of the website supports our families in accessing our remote provision outlined in the remote learning policy.

MHS remote education (DfE) 2021 Meridian High School remote learning policy- isolating students

In the result of a full school closure or year group closure students will continue to follow their in school timetable and attend online live lessons through google classrooms. Teachers will post a link to the subject specific classroom so students can join the lesson. Teachers will take the register and encourage students to engage with lessons as actively as possible.

Well being calls will be made to those that are not on line learning each day by the pastoral team. However if we can be of further support, please do update our wellbeing team during the telephone call or contact your child's Pastoral Welfare Leader via email.

Since the start of the pandemic we have supported our students with over 300 chromebooks purchased by the school and distributed to students who required them. This has enabled our online lessons to ‘live remote’ teaching and has therefore enabled access to education through the technology provided. We are proud of the progress made and continually strive to ensure we have all students actively engaged in learning during this time.
