Meridian Miles

Meridian High School has its own unique rewards system. Meridian Miles are the currency we use to reward our students when they display one or more of the 10 ‘Amazing Attributes’ which all successful individuals exemplify.

  • Motivation
  • Honour
  • Success
  • Creativity
  • Awareness
  • Courage
  • Persistence
  • Integrity
  • Focus
  • Service

Additionally, tutors award Meridian Miles fortnightly for good attendance and conduct. Significant points are awarded by our House Coordinators and by our Heads of House throughout the year.

Meridian Miles can also be earned through participation in extra-curricular activities and competitions.

Each student builds up an individual total of Meridian Miles. This means exceptional performance is further recognised and rewarded in one of our termly celebration assemblies.

The individual miles are added to the student’s House total. The winning House which accumulates the biggest overall total, once negative points are subtracted, wins the House Cup and all House members are invited to attend a special rewards trip at the end of the academic year.
