Design and Technology
Art and Design Department
As a department we are determined to strive for the very best for our students. We provide every opportunity for our pupils to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of Art to become confident independent learners; who are willing to take risks and try new techniques and share ideas. Pupils should develop a wide range of skills in Art and Design from observational drawing, sculpture and print making.
Pupils will be shown how to communicate their ideas and personal responses to projects using a variety of techniques. They will be encouraged to investigate a multitude of artists and designers that inspire new and exciting ideas from our students.
Pupils should feel passionate about the subject; show a willingness to explore an abundance of mediums and techniques. Whilst being supported by teachers that continue to have a thirst and passion for Art and Design.
