GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Our school attracts a crowd

We have all been delighted with the amount of visitors the school has attracted over the last few days at our open events.

With a focus on achieving a good or outstanding Ofsted grade at the next inspection, the leadership team has already seen a number of significant improvements as a result of changes already in force.

We are excited by the year ahead with a number of new and existing staff achieving local or national recognition for their outstanding teaching and subject specialisms. We believe every student deserves the very best education.

We have welcomed Executive Headteacher Esther Brooks who has achieved an Ofsted rating of Outstanding with Croydon’s Chestnut Park Primary School where she remains Headteacher.

With busy open evening and morning tours concluded, we are also looking to schedule a further open morning later in October to meet demand.

We know that no school can stand still and needs to continually improve - working as a primary and secondary partnership is enabling that. A Knowledge Quiz has been introduced at the start of each lesson and a new focus on a vocabulary development programme for students.
