What is Resistant Materials for at Meridian High School?

Introduction of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics club has enlightened and broaden the knowledge and understanding of the pupils. It has motivated our girls to be more involved in Design and Making process.

Why does Resistant Materials as a subject matter?

The subject allows pupils to think, design and make creatively. It helps them to understand the materials around them and prepare them for future careers in jobs like: Engineering, Mechanics, Carpenters etc.

What does Resistant Materials help young people to achieve?

As stated by Steve Jobs, "Design is the fundamental soul of a human-made creation that ends up expressing itself in successive outer layers of the product or service". This subject gives pupils fantastic opportunity to express themselves through their design and making skills. It builds appreciation for their environment and enhances their imagination.
