Geography Field Trip (Day 1)

On Tuesday 28th November, thirty-four year 11 Geography students visited Folkestone, on the Kent coast, to investigate the impact of coastal management on processes and communities. Pupils observed a range of sea defences used by Kent County Council.

The pupils did really well, using a range of scientific equipment, such as clinometers, to accurately gather data that allowed them to evaluate the success of the coastal defences and their impact on the people of Folkestone.

Some enjoyed trying freshly caught cockles, while others looked forward to a trip to McDonalds to reward themselves for all of their hard work.
