MHS vs Oasis Coulsdon Football

Yesterday afternoon Meridian High School's Year 11 football team romped to a comprehensive victory over Oasis Coulsdon by a scoreline of 10-0, which by all accounts, didn't flatter or team as the scoreline could have been quite a few more.

Within the first half, the link-up between Brandon Colhoun, Filipe Rodriquez and Ryan Bennett was a particular delight to watch and the latter (Bennett) scored a superb first half hat-trick.

Man of the match, captain and midfield dynamo Brandon Colhoun capped off an excellent first half display by scoring a wonderful solo goal.

The second half wasn't as straight forward as the first half as Oasis Coulsdon added a little pressure, which culminated in Charlie Stutter having to make a good save low to his lefthand side. After Meridian High weathered that early storm, the flood gates truly opened as Mazlum Dogan, Filipe Rodriquez (3), Nilson Rodriquez and Brandon Colhoun all added to the grand total of 10 goals.

It was a phenomenal performance from every player in Meridian High School's colours. There wasn't a player who didn't work their socks off going forward and tracking back.

Mr S. McCue.
