Business Studies
Business Studies is a subject that is taught as an option subject from year 9 onwards. This is a dynamic subject which embraces the world of work, the economy and businesses generally.
Students learn about why businesses exist thereby learning the skills and traits that successful business people have. Students learn the different forms of business ownership and which type of ownership is suitable for different scenarios. Students will gain knowledge on the aims and objectives of each type of business. Students learn about stakeholders and the impact they have on businesses.
Students find that as their confidence in the subject increase so does their thirst for learning the subject increases. Students will find as their knowledge and understanding of the subject develops the impact of previous topic on businesses will increase. Students will be guided by a teacher who themselves demonstrates a passion and enthusiasm for Business Studies.
